annoying as soon as I made the mistake I knew which one i should have clicked. The last row were default as I literally wouldn’t have connected one of the words.

Frustrating, I knew the purple connection but I'm sure I only made that wrong guess once! Blue was a bit of a headscratcher.

If you google connections hints there are a couple of sites (Forbes, WordTips) which give hints. I can't access any hints on the free version of this puzzle through NYT - I don't have the lightbulb icon that others mention.
