I privately rent . Epc is due in February half term.

Do I need to tell them my energy costs?

What will they look at?
It's currently an E. Which is the minimum a LL can let it out on I believe. That was done a long time ago.
its quite a cold house overall. 3 bed gas is around 230pcm we have heating on approx 4 hours a day.
No roof insulation under tiles but there is on attic floor.
No cavity wall insulation that I know of, there's certainly no holes where it would have been done.
Double glazed mostly all very old I'd say over 15/20 years, some gaps in windows when its windy it blows the blinds. 2 door wooden single glazed front and back door.
Fire disconnected before we became Tennants. But it's draughty. Often put a cushion in the ' fire'

Is it likely to remain an E. Or potentially require work

No they won't ask for your household bills. It's wholly about building fabric and what type of heating system you have. All that data goes into a computer software which then automatically creates a score with some recommendations for Improving your energy efficiency.

They'll just go round and measure things. They shouldn't ask you anything.

OK thank you. Was going to print all my energy bills but I won't bother.
Looking online it was an
E in 2015
D 2022. ( i do not recall anyone coming in 2022.) But the table where ' good / average' is listed hasn't changed except a 'good 'down to average on windows and a averge up to good on lighting
So unsure on how it's a D. And not recalling anyone coming, and if they did why would they be coming 3 years later
