Have you ever bought a picture frame and kept the display image?

My DD has bought a Wilko frame in her student days with a plant image where the photo goes. She has never got round to putting a real photo in it, and it has been like this for years now. Partly joke now.

Yes, one from Oliver Bonas, its got a lovely bird painting in it. I've added some dried flowers from my Grans grave. It's very pretty.

Oh definitely! If it shows a man who is better looking than my DH - why not?!!

Just kidding 😂 Any frames I've bought recently only have a page with the frame dimensions on it, not any images.
BUT I have bought framed prints just for the frame though.

We once stayed in a lovely cottage, very beautifully furnished. However, there were two frames on the wall with no picture, just the piece of paper saying "Suitable for 20 cm x 20 cm" or whatever.

Given that the owners had gone to great lengths with all the other decor it seemed a bit bizarre. But maybe they had ordered prints which had not yet arrived.

I got a huge multi picture frame in 2012. Suited the room perfectly. Put it up on the wall for safe keeping while I'd choose and print the photos to go in it.

I never chose and printed the photos. It still has the original people in the 'demo' print. Theres a kangaroo, a bride and groom, some cute children, a cat .....all there in black and white prints.

New friends will comment "oh when did you go to Oz?" Sometimes I just blag it and say oh it was a while ago now. Others I admit my shame.
They've almost become family!
We redecorated the room last summer and promptly put it back up on the wall while muttering "I must sort the photos for that" but I still haven't. Sorting photos into frames has always been one of lifes challenges for me. Any tips welcome. 😊
