Anyone wear FItBit on their ankle like a tag?

Wrist sore, so I swapped my FitBit to my right ankle and I’ve hit my daily target two hours earlier than usual.
Is this known to add more steps?

Yes I tried this but it is known to overcount.

Some models can be worn on a clip on your belt or bra, although not all of them. I have a Luxe at the moment which can only be worn on the wrist, but my old Inspire could be with that way.

Ah - I’m finding today I’m also ahead.
I try for 18k steps a day and so in Jan, Feb and Mar I particularly struggle to get outside for the right amount of time.
Do you prefer the Luxe to what you had before?

I had an Inspire before which unfortunately broke. That had the clip option. I went for the Luxe just because it looked nice tbh. I haven't noticed much difference between the Luxe and Inspire other thsn looks.

I didn't realise that the Luxe didn't have the clip option until after I got it but I don't mind really as I only needed the clip option when pushing a pushchair (my arms were too static to pick up all my steps) and fortunately we are passed that stage now.

What type of Fitbit do you have? And do you regularly get sore wrists? Is it the Fitbit causing that? I find the silicone straps irritate my skin but am fine with a material or metal strap.

Charge 5 here with silicone straps which occasionally get water underneath and cause irritation. Hence sore and looking for other place. Moving to the ankle has been ideal this week, but it is a bit tighter to close the fastening, and no doubt will break sooner than had it been on wrist. I have a material strap, ready to go, as replacement. The Luxe looks reasonably similar and doesn't look too obtrusive. Having little people around means your activity level will never actually slow down until they at teens!

I know my FitBit stats aren't reliable detail for any health purpose, but I have seven years' worth data which shows I'm getting slower all the time! . Now suddenly in 2025 if I go up from 18k to 20k average just by change of poision, I will feel fitter!
