colour changing grey hair at home

Fed up of my full head of grey hair, I want to go back to blonde and am weighing up whether I can do it myself at home (new territory for me) or to go to a salon.

Are home box colours easy to do and maintain?

Or is it safer to go to a salon and get it done professionally?

Pros and cons please.

If you are fully grey then I would definitely go and get it done in a salon, especially oif you have not coloured your own hair before.

I use a box dye and it is easy, but I have a lot less grey than you and am mainly colouring over the regrowth each time rather than dying my full head of hair.

Definitely go to a salon - they will discuss the best colour for you, and also (if you want) put in a few streaks so it doesn’t look like a “helmet”.
