What would happen if two abusive people met?

We all know how many abusive men there are in the world. And there are some abusive women. I’ve been watching My Lover, My Killer on Netflix today and got pondering what would happen if two abusive people met? If both were trying to coercively or financially control.

Is there a sense of it so that an abuser would avoid a fellow abuser?

Rose and Fred West, 2 abusers met and look what happened.

i Suppose abusers like to have someone to abuse. So another abuser isn’t necessarily the best choice if they want to abuse their partner. However sometime when two meet, they team up to perpetrate even more abuse.

They take chunks out of each other. Then scapegoat one of their DC.

Either they instinctively or very quickly realise that the other person isn't someone they can use and abuse, or they just don't click/get drawn to them (abusive people tend to have good radars and effective methods of weeding out people who don't serve them, just like scammers can immediately tell if they will be able to get money off someone and deceive them), so nothing happens to the abusive person. The person they meet might be affected in all sorts of ways.
If two people who are abusive meet, see an equal and team up against a world of potential victims, it looks really bad. Others have talked about Fred and Rose West, but a lot of dictators and cult leaders, the ones who have one or two other people who are their SO and/or deputy, also probably met an abuser who doesn't mind not having the top spot as long as they get the benefits.
