Budget hotels on Birmingham tramline!

Hi all!
Any recommendations of a hotel in Birmingham that’s on the tramline into the city centre? Would like hotel parking, hence wanting to be a bit further out, but would love to be able to use the tram to get into town. Thanks!

There's a premier inn and a travelodge in West Brom, couple of minutes from the tram stop.

I usually stay at the Mercure which is a bit further away from the tram (only a 10 minute walk though) as it has a pool and a gym.

Thank you @TiramisuThief. I’ve been going through hotel listings but they don’t seem to mention the tramline. Excellent tip about the Mecure. Will definitely check that one out!

How far out?

I'm in Wolverhampton there are a couple of Travelodge type places near the train station (train bus and tram are linked).

That’s interesting @sashh, I didn’t realise that. I guess I was thinking about 20 or 30 mins or so out by tram? Although maybe that’s a bit optimistic. I stayed in a hotel last year which was fine, but a good 25/30 minute walk which was a bit of a slog when carrying lots of heavy shopping. Plus hadn’t realised Birmingham was so hilly! Thank you for posting.

It's about 50 mins to an hour on the tram from Wolves to the library.

Here's a link to the tram website, you can look at a map for each stop. It might be worth looking at which stop is 30 mins and then looking for a hotel / B and B near by.

Malmaison in Mailbox, no need to deal with tram.
