I'd like to set up an Insta account that's essentially anonymous (I'm basically testing a business idea and don't want it linked to my main, private account).
Google told me to put in a dummy phone number and email: "Use a dummy email and fake phone number for your contact information. Instagram will automatically transfer the information from your real account." (From https://www.burnerapp.com/blog/anonymous-instagram-account)
That didn't work, as it sends a conf code to the email you've entered (e.g. the dummy one), so I deleted that, set up a new Gmail account and used that instead - all fine because I could access that to get the code. (I left the dummy phone number in.)
It seemed to set up the account and I logged into Insta with, only to get a msg saying my new account had been suspended 😱 I clicked on "Appeal", and they sent another email conf code - fine as I can access that - but now it also wants to send a code to my phone, and I entered a dummy number for that!
Is there no way to set up an Insta account that's essentially anonymous? I don't actually mind giving my usual email and phone number to Insta - I just dont want it to link the new account to my old one e.g. by showing my main profile followers that I have a new account. Help!
