Thinking about potential summer holidays next year - kids will be 8 and 11. They're used to bucket & spade and recently we've usually gone to somewhere with 'fun' pools, quite family-centred.
I'm curious about the Channel islands as never been and seems like 'far enough' away without a long flight, easy to get around and the beaches, island life etc look lovely. Just wondered if the kids would be bored going to beaches each day and/or if there are any water parks or fun kid-type stuff. Also it doesn't look particularly hot - low 20s? I don't like it too hot so could be ideal, but also don't want it to be chilly in summer!
Any tips/experience welcome! Is there much difference between the islands as I'm mostly just guessing from photos?!
I've also looked at the Isles of Scilly - went there as a teen and it was beautiful, but I know it can be expensive, so wondered if it might be better to save and go there instead?
