Over 12 months ago the local social club was struggling.
The people in charge became overwhelmed with everything.
They should have retired a few years ago but carried on as no one
would take over. It's a non profit club. As usual we all left it for
Someone else to sort. After a big meeting.
Lots of people decided to volunteer. New ideas were suggested.
It got so bad there was only enough money for one more week.
January 1st 2024 there was only £787 in bank.
This week we have over £15k. We can now decorate.
The big room is booked for at least the next 16 weeks on the weekends.
There is darts, dominos, snooker,pool and bowls for things to do.
All the community is guilty of letting it get this far.
It's a small town. Only two pubs and this club.
