...would you still lock your doors?

Well yes, polar bears are clever things 😂

Not clever enough to get to Antarctica though..

Sidebeforeself · 16/01/2025 22:25

Penguins can p-p-p-pick a lock though!

Haha haha!

Spectre8 · 16/01/2025 22:27

Lock? Unlikely but will keep it shjt to keep it warm inside. I would love there, the only place on earth with no spiders on land.

TheCrenchinglyMcQuaffenBrothers · 16/01/2025 22:27

Yes because, despite telling him to never just ‘pop’ round, David bloody Attenborough simply doesn’t respect boundaries.

MotherOfCrocodiles · 16/01/2025 22:30

Have you not seen that episode to the x files where a mutant alien life form worm thing takes over the lab in Alaska. Ice+ climate change = defrosted alien worm turning your coworkers homicidal. Lock the damn door!

Jfc 😱if things are that bad though surely I want all doors unlocked to maximise my escape time!

Definitely. I've seen Madagascar those pesky penguins 🐧 🐧🐧🐧

CheeseNPickle3 · 16/01/2025 22:33

If you're in Antarctica, where do you think you're escaping to?

Doors locked I say.

Sounds a bit like “The Thing”

I remember seeing that ages ago. I’d lock my door for that, not that it would probably do much good.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 16/01/2025 22:34

Don't forget the Alien temple underneath the surface. And Zombie robot Hitler. And the Shoggoth. Or a Predator looking for a worthy opponent.

Lock the door, if only to keep the rest of us safe.

TianasBayou · 16/01/2025 22:37

DO the doors of Antarctica have locks?
Or would I need to fashion a Heath Robinson style solution should the need arise?

TheCrenchinglyMcQuaffenBrothers · 16/01/2025 22:39

Hang on a minute, is this what happened to Captain Oates? He was gone for some time, but when he got back they’d locked the door? Bastards.

I mean none of this is based in reality so imma say eacape to my F15 that can travel at 2.5 mach. Why not a regular ole chopper or plane? 'Cause obv this is 100s of years down the line and I've rescued and restored the world's last F15 as part of my former life collecting vintage planes.

Or I'm a bit dumb and will die of cold and murderous colleagues (although by "living alone" I did mean utterly alone and no neighbours for 100s or 1000s of miles).

Remember it's MN .. you wouldn't answer the door surely.

AdoraBell · 16/01/2025 22:46

Absolutely, I wouldn’t want penguins marauding around my house.

At least they're all guaranteed to be safe from vampires.

CheeseNPickle3 · 16/01/2025 23:04

Ok, but can we have penguin butlers?

LisaJohnsonsFacebookMole · 16/01/2025 23:07

Only if you buttle for them on a Sunday.
