What daily spf cream do you use, if you dont use moisturiser?

I hate the feeling of creams on my face, just now i just use a light moisturiser, depends whats lying about. My face feels tight without it.
But i was told by gp to use sunscreen on top so i bought a nivea moisturiser with an spf in it. Its really thick and gunky, i hate it. Luckily it wasn't very expensive.

Does anyone have an spf they use that's light and not gunky? Preferably one that doesn't need a moisturiser on top.

Thanks

I use a spray from Body Shop

I love Emma Hardie, seen a real difference in my skin. Light and a lovely fragrance.

Body shop have all closed down here and that emma hardie one is too expensive. I need something less than a tenner that i can try on the back of my hand first.
But thanks both for these suggestions.

I use the Tiger Moon stuff from ASDA, really lightweight and smells nice. I think it's only SPF20 though.

I use this SPF 50 moisturiser from La Roche Posay:
https://www.sephora.co.uk/p/La-Roche-Posay-Anthelios-UVMune-400-Hydrating-Suncream-SPF50-50ml

It feels a bit gunky when you first put it on, but it sinks in quickly and I’m not aware that I’m wearing sunscreen. It’s really moisturising and doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes.

Frezyderm factor 50

Stickthatupyourdojo · 16/01/2025 09:13

I use tinted spf50 from bondi sands. In summer I also use the fine mist spray soltan or Aldi factor 50 on my body and tend to blast my face with it in addition to the bondi sands to keep it topped up. I have sensitive skin and don't like heavy creams and this combo I can tolerate.

cetaphil daily defence moisturising spf, I’ve tried about a million it feels like and this was the one I found the least offensive and most moisturising and rubs in easy.

ThatLoudGoose · 16/01/2025 09:16

Have you tried Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion SPF 50? It’s very light and feels more like a gel than a cream, so it absorbs quickly without any residue. I use it on its own, no moisturiser needed.

I always find Nivea to be horribly greasy. I use Eucerin oil control SPF 50. Not too expensive and feels like wearing nothing. Best one I've tried!!

UmberMoose · 15/04/2025 14:01

I prefer the la roche posay's spf50 which is very good. So here is my routine that I follow with that:
Morning:
Using water to wash your face and micellar water
Sebamed clear face gel,
LRP spf
Evening:
LRP moisturizer,
Started with Tretinoin (0.025) from skinorac
Sebamed clear facial gel

Biore Kao-Aqua Rich Watery Essence.

It's amazing.

TwoTailFly · 15/04/2025 16:45

I love Beauty of Joseon and Purito daily soft touch. Both are light and non-greasy. Then I use a spray from Ultraviolette for top ups.

Saladleaves17 · 15/04/2025 16:48

I use the Nivea facial sunscreen - matte, but I use it on top of my moisturiser as that doesn’t have a spf.

It’s exactly like suncream but rubs in so quickly and it provides a really good base for makeup. £9.99 in most places and you can get it on offer quite alot as well.

ClareClareClareClare · 15/04/2025 16:54

Lidl do one

I love the Ultra Violette Supreme screen factor 50. Really moisturising and glowy.

Another vote for the Biore Aqua Rich, from Superdrug. There is a spray on version launched recently which has had good reviews as a top up and over makeup, but I have only sampled it so far. It did feel as if there was a significant alcohol content to make it evaporate quickly.

Bert2e · 17/04/2025 17:19

Biore here too - not tried the spray version but the lotion is brilliant.

Hayley1256 · 17/04/2025 18:39

Olay beauty fluid with spf feels really light on your face

Ficklebricks · 17/04/2025 18:42

Careful with Bondi Sands, their 50spf face cream recently failed tests and doesn't give as much SPF as it claims.

I use Cerave moisturiser with SPF, it's lovely and light and sits well under makeup.
