I have been awake since 2:30, poorly DD in my bed so I’m just having a cuppa…. She will be off school tomorrow I imagine.
these middle of the night wake ups have me reminiscing of the baby days. It’s all lovely and peaceful having a middle of the night brew, I may make it a habit
anyone else up?

Saaame. Are they hungry, is it gas, is it active sleep?! Would think I’d know second time around but still don’t!

Me and dd are up 😫

She's having some sleep issues following the Xmas break so she went to bed at 5pm and woke up at 11

She's 5.5 with autism and has school in the morning - she's definitely going in, but they're understanding and she will probably sleep there

Im so tired - sometimes I think i want one more but then I think about the tiredness!

Edit - Wishing your dd better x

thenightfeed · 16/01/2025 04:54

Hope DD is ok OP! x

Xmas has thrown my dd off too, it’s such a lovely time but such hard work trying to get the routine back afterwards!

Thank you x it was her 5th birthday yesterday and she started feeling ropey after school. I suspect it’s this flu that is going round. Plenty of calpol/ibruprofen and lots of fluids xx

Yeah, I was so looking forward to it but now I wonder why 😄

We just spent the time indoors, up at all hours, eating our bodyweight in sugar

So glad it's passed now, fingers crossed I csn get us back into our routine

MessyNeate · 16/01/2025 05:22

I'm awake too!!

Mixture of finishing night shifts yesterday morning and having to get used to sharing my bed with DH again. He came home yesterday after working away for 14 weeks.

Also full of cold. So bunged up and snotty. I've slept on an off since 10pm. Woke at 2am and watched last nights traitors. I think I've given up now!

acupofteamakeseverythingbetter · 16/01/2025 05:25

I've been awake since 3am with 6 month old. He seems to be waking 3-5.30 past few nights. He's just fallen asleep so will try and get a few more hours before toddler wakes. Just heard DH alarm go off

Bacherette · 16/01/2025 05:34

No children here but I've been up for a few hours thinking about things.

Hope you all get the babies settled! I'm starving so am about to reheat a quiche and cup of tea

CatCaretaker · 16/01/2025 05:34

Yes, still up with newborn who's been eating non-stop since midnight. Send help!

Actually she may - may - have just settled. I didn't dare believe it so I made a cup of tea, but she's just squeaking away to herself in her sleep for the first time all night so I may have a chance to lie down!

That's sweet of you to ask, thank you. Just usual life stuff :)

Wow! I thought I had a rough night but she actually slept some of it. The cluster feeding is relentless

Same! It’s hard because they fight against going to bed earlier more isn’t it xx
