Armchair for bad lower back and neck

Hello

I have ongoing pain from lower back disc issues and problems with my neck. Does anyone with similar issues have any recommendation for a comfy armchair so I can watch tv without nagging pain.

I have seen a few like Stressless Mayfair but they all look like they belong in a nursing home!

My recommendation was going to be an Ekornes Stressless but I see you don't like the style? I have several of the 'vintage' ones but they do match my decor which has other mid century furniture.

I can honestly tell you that owning these chairs has transformed my back. I get far fewer problems. As you probably know, they were originally designed by an osteopath. They are particularly good for watching TV as they stop you slouching or leaning. One other tip - I've got my TV attached to the wall so that I have to look up at it rather than down and sit in front of it so I'm not turning sideways. Really helps the neck.

@ForPearlViper I agree the vintage ones look much nicer and thanks for sharing your first hand experience of Stressless chairs as the trust pilot reviews are a mixed bag. I think it is worth a visit to my local back in action shop to try them out.
