Make me feel better - embarrassing faux pas at work

I was walking from the reception desk to the main office area and I unintentionally farted. It was loud and squeaky and just slipped out.

I rushed into the main office area and didn't hesitate to look back at the receptionist (who would have definitely heard).

Please make me feel better. I bet this has happened to others as well.

Awesome. Walk back out and challenge the receptionist to beat that.

I was walking down a ward in hospital with a new member of staff and accidentally farted, no idea why it happened. Like you it was a squeaky one and I tried to pass it off as my shoe on the floors but she and I both know it wasn't. That was over 10 years ago and I still cringe

I also tried to shuffle my feet and pretend it was my shoe!

I was walking in the park with the dog and farted incredibly loudly.
I hadn't realised there was a man coming up the hill in front of us.
"Oh (dog's name)! What HAVE you been eating??" I said, and sped away.

I don't think he fell for it.

It’s only a fart. Everyone farts

On a teams call several years ago with approx six other colleagues based UK and Europe. We were doing a 'round robin' update of our recent work. Colleague in a European city was awaiting her turn but needed the bathroom. Took her laptop with her so she could hear the current presenter. She muted her call so no one could hear her, but sadly forgot to pause her camera. She took the laptop in the cubicle and you can imagine the rest. Fortunately for me I was multi-tasking and working on a document, so was not watching what was happening on the camera, but other colleagues saw everything.

Having pondered about it afterwards, I've wondered why none of those watching shouted out when they realised she was entering the cubicle, before she revealed all. Maybe they were stunned into silence, I have no idea. The colleague is none the wiser as no one mentioned it. Just glad I missed the performance!

At our old office i worked near the main doors (glass) which led onto a lobby where people waited for the lift. We were open plan so if you got a personal phone call it was customary to head out to the lobby to take it.

If I felt a fart brewing I would head out to the lobby and pretend to be talking on my mobile. It was a good strategy until one day I ejected the foulest stench just as the lift doors opened and some visiting clients stepped out. Eeek.

Happened to me, farting unexpectedly that is. Wish I'd just laughed about it there and then but carried on as if nothing had happened. Was chuckling about it to myself a few hours later, especially as the colleague the deed happened in front of was very judgemental about things like that. "That one's for you Daphne!"

I remember last year a colleague did a very loud squeak fart at her desk. She blushed bright red
