Hi!
Looking for ideas. DH wanted to take me on a city break abroad for my birthday next month, however due to family circumstances my son wont be able to be looked after for a few nights.
We still want to go away somewhere but in the UK as my son will be coming now. He's only 1.5 and the weather will be very cold in Feb so struggling to think where we could go that we would all enjoy.
Would like it to be a bit special but not over the top extortionate. Somewhere up north or midlands preferably as it would only be a few days so don't want to spend too long getting there.
We have been looking at the luxury family hotels but they are very expensive , they are all down south too so would take a while to get there. Feel a bit limited because I don't want my son to be bored but I also want to go somewhere we can all have a nice time, thought those hotels looked good as they seem to have a bit of something for everyone, I wonder if they're worth it though? Nearly £300 a night for when we can go seems very steep.
Anyone got any other ideas or reviews of those hotels?
I think a normal city break in a normal hotel or airbnb would be hard work with a toddler but renting a log cabin in the countryside would potentially be really cold and bleak in February and wouldn't be able to walk far with the little one.
Thanks everyone :)
