I'm in a 2 bed on the outskirts of the big city, wanting to move as close to the centre as possible to a 2 bed

How crazy am I to think this could work?

The area I'm in isn't desirable tbh but its a house with a garden near a park and it's still part of the city

I looked up a few old threads and I feel like I'm crazy for thinking it'll happen

Does anyone have any advice or tips for me?

I'm in the process of decorating to mske my home nice, with the expectation that we won't be moving for a while

Edited to add, I'm on homeswapper and I've just emailed the council in the area i want. I picture a graduate laughing at me for being delusional, tomorrow morning when they go through the inbox 😄🤭

a 5 bed on outskirts could be worth less than 2 bed in the centre in some areas

Home swapper is full of time wasters. I went through word of mouth but the old fashioned signs in local windows helps as does posting on the swap SM page for that area.

Okay, gonna get myself onto Facebook and try to join these pages

I'm going into it expecting nothing tbh and I'm in the process of doing up my home for me to enjoy but I really really want to move inwards 🥺

@saveandfill do you think someone could be enticed by a well decorated two bed house with garden and right to buy - that's what I'm hoping for
