I want to have a gift delivered that's not flowers

I want to send a friend of mine a gift as she's having quite a hard time just now and I live too far away to "pop in", I don't want to send flowers, and for health reasons I'm trying to avoid chocolates/afternoon tea in a box type things. I'm stumped for other ideas though. Any suggestions please?

This site is called dontbuyherflowers and has various gift boxes for women

www.dontbuyherflowers.com/product-category/by-recipient/gift-boxes-for-women/

there are also ones where you can curate what's in the box and there are loads on etsy

Not heard of this site before - going to bookmark it. Thank you.

Etsy. Puzzle books and chocolates.

Or Tesco delivery to send booze and biscuits. Your gift might vary. They don't wrap it but it was a good way of sending my dad an alcohol gift without being charged a fortune.

Bloom & Wild have some lovely things, candles, brownies, there is a beautiful velvet bag on there at the moment. I have a referral code so you’d get a gift or money off I think refer.bloomandwild.com/m/ol/yx4dp-8639958bf3

Rarely mentioned on this site, but have a look at QVC who will deliver direct to your friend. Huge range of stuff including (suitable giftwise) jewellry, plants, throws, food, etc.

I went off work for a month after a bereavement and my team sent me a gift box that included:

  • Face mask
  • Bath products (was always banging on about finishing work so I could have a bath!)
  • A candle
  • fluffy socks and slippers
  • herbal teas (I always drank them in the office)
  • A deliveroo voucher (£150)
  • £150 cash
  • A book with photos of funny animals (Animal related job at the time)
  • A little crystal with a groove to rub with your thumb for meditation purposes
  • A 1000 piece puzzle
  • a card signed by everyone

They just made it themselves rather than using a service. It sounds a lot but the circumstances were horrible and all over the media so they did a collection, so guess they had to spend whatever they raised. The deliveroo voucher/puzzle was most appreciated!

www.berrybouquets.co.uk/

These do fabulous bouquets but they are made of fruit, daisy shaped pineapple, star shaped mango, melon, strawberries, orange segments, chocolate coated bits & pieces but all in a gorgeous bouquet … huge selection and lots of different sizes/styles/prices. Not cheap but the recipient absolutely loved it.
Now that I've been looking thru the website again I'll have to think of someone I need to send one to!
