What's your best head cold remedy?

Woke up with heavy eyes, irritated nose, that switches between blocked and runny.
What would you buy for it please?

First Defence ASAP!!! Should stop in it it's tracks.

My current "head cold" has turned out to be an awful case of covid and a chest infection. I deeply regret not using First Defence when I came down with it.

Nasal rinsing with a neti pot.
Chicken soup made with stock from the carcass or other bones (I sometimes use the legs or drumsticks)
Vitamin Z and Zinc
Steam
Goldenseal or oregano oil.

IMO you’re too late for First Defence. Get some Sinutab or Sudafed - but the ones with pseudoephedrine, NOT phenylephrine.

I've taken it as late as the end of day two of a cold and it's made a huge difference. OP said they've just woken up with a cold.

I've taken FD, then about 8 hours later done a nasal rinse with a neti pot and seen a gross ball of what I assume is the root of the cold trapped by the FD get rinsed away and that's
literally been the end of it - amazing stuff.
