Do you think sales make people greedy?

Today Aldi reduced all their Christmas stock
29p
All the bargain pages full of people buying ridiculous amounts of things.
Now I could understand groceries cheap but one woman bought 40 packs of chocolate ,10 mince pies packs etc etc
It was just so greedy
Do you think there should be a limit on per person ?

My colleague bought similar amounts for the local food banks.

The shop has discounted things to clear them quickly - the quicker the better.
They want that valuable space for something else.
They really don’t care who’s buying their sale items or why.

My local Aldi had the posh Christmas pates in a trolley with a sign saying "free, take as many as you want" at closing the other day. I was tempted until I thought hard and wondered how long they'd been out the fridge for and decided against it based on not wanting food poisoning.

The point of sales is to get rid of old stock, they're not doing it to be kind.

My local Tesco was selling their xmas cheese boards for 75p the other day. If you think you will use that amount of cheese before it starts walking and talking, then go right ahead and buy it.

I bought lots and brought it into work to help colleagues have a better January!

I bought some truckle cheeses to try my children on they didn't like them so I wasted less money than had I paid full price 😅

I only ever buy food on the basis it can be used the week I buy it or be frozen. The person who bought a lot might be sharing the food out.
