What do you order on Amazon to make up a shortfall?

I want to buy something on Amazon, but it won’t reach the £35 minimum needed to get free delivery. What sorts of things do you order in this sort of situation so that you can have a minimum order of £35? My brain isn’t working very well right now!

Toilet rolls, cleaning stuff, toothpaste, bin bags?

BlackLambAndGreyFalcon · 09/01/2025 18:20

Nothing - I get it sent to a locker instead! (No minimum spend for deliveries to lockers)

StillAtTheRestaurant · 09/01/2025 18:21

I get stuff delivered to an Amazon locker, that's free no matter how little you spend.

Nope it's £35 unless you are buying books where the minimum spend is £10.

Omg it's gone up! Amazon are getting ridiculous now

SunnyRainbow293 · 09/01/2025 18:25

The amazon wet wipes are the best I've ever used!

Thanks for the heads up about Amazon locker. I had no idea that this option was free. It also make sure my order doesn’t get pinched off my doorstep if I am out ☺️

Batteries
pens
sellotape

The £35 is so annoying. £25 was ok! Some items can’t go to lockers :/

ClementinePancakes · 09/01/2025 18:32

That’s a great tip about the locker, I had no idea.

I usually buy cat litter or laundry detergent to make up the minimum cost for free delivery.

In my experience deliveries to the locker also tend to arrive quicker!

delphinedupont · 09/01/2025 18:35

I use it an an excuse to buy a book or something I’ve been waiting to buy. In my head it’s free because it’s saving me delivery costs 😂

Rosecoffeecup · 09/01/2025 18:39

Big fan of amazon lockers, there's some items that arnt eligible for delivery there (age restricted, size, some non amazon sellers) but on the whole they're great.

Product wise I get cleaning stuff e.g. big pack of dishwasher cleaning stuff, coffee pods or flash mop wipes

@LocationChange
You can also get free Amazon deliveries at pick up points, if you don’t choose the next day option. I usually pick up mine from a local Waitrose as it is closest to my home, but some other shops and post offices offer this. If you look at your delivery options it will show you a map of all locations.

SizzlingPrickle · 09/01/2025 18:51

Cleaning stuff usually or maybe a colouring book.

Normallynumb · 09/01/2025 19:09

After the costs went up to £35 for free delivery I changed to a locker which is free and nearby.
Previously I would add microfibre cloths, sellotape, toiletries.
