I was in a abusive relationship and he never let me grow my hair past neckline it took me 3 years to grow out I couldn't go back to it

I get it. Hair can be important to us for so many more reasons than just being hair. It can symbolise our freedom, our strength, etc.

Maybe, you might be able to re-frame getting a trim (an inch or two) as a way in which you're practising self-care and nurturing your freedom by taking a step to help your long hair get healthier and keep growing? Taking off a little can be positive because it removes split ends and lets the healthy hair shaft keep growing intact. If you speak to the hairdresser in advance then they can be mindful of how important it is to you that they don't take off more than you've agreed.

I’m using a hair supplement and serum, it’s working
um also getting a hyrolonic acid treatment on it every 4 months

gsme changers. My hair has gone from dry, spindly and thing, to lush and swishy

Things you can do to calm your stress levels:

Contact Family Lives, they may have some good strategies to put in place regarding sleep

Get a check up, you could get blood tests to see if you're deficient in vitamins etc

Practice meditation and yoga

Try to get fresh air and exercise

Look into family support groups, Gingerbread should be able to let you know if there's anything available

Change your diet to lots of fruit, vegetables and healthy food. Take a good multivitamin, vitamin D and magnesium

That all sounds very hard, but if you had your hair cut into a short, easycare style, you would have at least one fewer claim on your time.
