Wonder if anyone has had similar experience - DS (4) has just had antibiotics for tonsilitis (finished 24th dec) but still has left tonsil enlarged (not inflamed or pus covered) he’s had no sore throat, night sweats, weight loss or snoring, he’s pretty healthy otherwise but I’ve googled and seen it can be a sign of lymphoma. Took him to docs who said left was a bit bigger and lymph nodes slightly bigger but not concerningly so especially as he’s had an infection. Told to come back in 4 weeks and have it looked at again but no referral to ENT as of yet

has anyone else/else’s kids had one tonsil enlarged?

Thanks x

one of mine has been a lot larger than the other for many years after tonsillitis, I know there was a thread on here a few years ago with lots of people reporting the same.if they’ve been seen by the GP, and are being seen again, I’d try not to worry too much -easier said than done I know!

Tonsillar asymmetry: Occasionally one tonsil can be bigger than the other. In the vast majority of cases, this is due to previous infection, or slight differences in the anatomy of the tonsil bed on each side.

(I didn’t bold this and can’t change it)
