I have been on citalopram along time over 10 years I am currently taking 40 mg which I have been on that does for one year
I don't feel there working anymore the Dr things that's fluexotine would work better for me as i am showing signs of ocd . I have anxiety which is why I take the citalopram.
I have a plan from Dr 40mg doen to 30mg then 20mg spread over a few weeks then starting the 20mgs
I am on day two of going down to 30mg would I get symptoms already?
What symptoms have other's experienced?
I have had an awful headache all day , tummyacje and very windy

Hello love. Coming off citalopram was very difficult for me. I had a friend and it nearly drove him mad. He rang me at his wits' end and I scoured around for support groups. I found one on Facebook (this was about 10 years ago) and they were so great, confirming what he was feeling was normal and most
Importantly that it would pass (and some timescales too).
Titrate slowly. Be kind to yourself. Get support. Best of luck x

I went from 30 - 20 and found it hard. I had these weird brain zaps which felt, not painful, but I didn’t like them. Can you go down more gently? Like drop 5mg, or alternate days of 40/30/40/30?
