Can anyone recommend a holiday destination

We are going away in July with a couple we are good friends with. We will have a nearly 2 year old, they have no children. We have holidayed well with this couple before (albeit pre-children) and are planning to share an airbnb (they have stayed with us plenty so aware of life with a toddler...)

We all like European city breaks, art and history. Our DC has been on a fair few city breaks in their time (museums normally coincide with nap-time) but obviously not quite sure how their schedule will look in 6 months ... Either way, DH and I are very happy to split up so that one can have the toddler and the other can enjoy adult time. We'd like a city that is relatively toddler friendly (pram friendly a bonus but not essential as we often use a hiking rucksack anyway) but will also have plenty to entertain our friends. Weather would ideally be good but not boiling. Flight would ideally be under 4 hours from London.

Thanks in advance!

Frankfurt, Munich or Berlin.
Vienna or Salzburg.
Lyons.

Vienna is beautiful. Fantastic museums / things to see, wide boulevards, family friendly - plenty to do with a young child and also plenty of sophisticated stuff for adults too

What about Barcelona so you could spend some time on the beach, or Palma for the same reason.

Copenhagen might work well if you haven’t already done that?
