1x holiday club whilst I work
1x zoo trip (we're members) with a friend
1x morning of TV/games whilst I work, then afternoon in soft play. Will probably walk to the local playground (with cafe) for breakfast/coffee that day so we get in some outdoors time.
1x Science Museum/Wonderlab/Natural History Museum/Princess Diana Gardens playground with friends
1x Local(ish) kids museum and art workshop on-site.

My DPs are taking DS out on two days of the half term. I think they're planning to go to the Tower of London on one day and then maybe a theatre show on the other day. He'll be in holiday club at school for the other three days.

Following because Christmas holidays after Boxing Day felt like dead time! And I wish we had made more plans.

So I am hoping to make some plans this half term. My DC is 11 and I am finding this preteen “meh” attitude a bit tricky.

I know he’ll be doing coding club at least one of those days.

Monday to Friday at Butlins. Kids (9 and 11) can go off and swim, play, do activities and watch shows and I can chill out. Got the food and drinks package so no cooking either.

I have just been reminded we’re off to our in laws for most of Feb Half Term! They live in a great city several hours away so this will definitely stop the “meh” from Preteen! 🤣

I'm toying with the idea of going abroad as the prices of summer holidays make me queasy
Im a single mother and work full time but had enough annual leave to take this one off

Same! We have literally just opened a new “pot” on our online banking and started putting £20 month in there JUST for school holiday stuff.
everything is so expensive. Half a day coding club is £30!!!

And staying in the UK vs a holiday in Europe is like for like cost wise.
