Better than what?
Larger theatres will likely have bigger budgets, better sets & named stars but smaller budgets theatres will be cheaper & more community feel.

Not sure if they are better but they are definitely more affordable!

We went to the Questor theatre in Ealing this year and Potted Panto the year before. Had great seats in both and spent < £100 for 4 of us

I love the Eastbourne pantomine. It's in a beautiful old theatre and they occasionally have a big name but the real stars are the couple of regulars who are very experienced pantomime actors.

A big name actor or celebrity isn't necessarily going to be any good at panto.

We went to the one at Bristol Hippodrome and it was absolutely fantastic. They definitely seem to have had a bigger budget this year.

Newcastle pantomime is the best without exception , we travel up from Lincolnshire every year for it. Not full of famous people but it sells out every year . Definitely worth a trip to it.
