Do you like being around extended family?

I don't mean as in living with them in the same house, but living in the same city/proximity to them?

As in do you like being able to readily meet your cousins, aunts and uncles?

No

I never really lived near them, so not sure how I'd feel tbh. I like my privacy though, so I'd possibly prefer them not too close!

For me it would depend on their personalities. If they had a life of their own, then yes. If they tried to be constantly enmeshed in mine then no.

Why the question, are you researching for an article? What's your own situation with your family?

Define enmeshed? I see this word banded around alot.. even when it's not enmeshment but some people are close to other family members and visit regularly, enjoy each other company etc, holiday together.
