Ideas for special thank you gift

My husband and I want to buy a thank you present for my parents - we have been living with them for the last 7 months (with our 3 year old!) while waiting for our house purchase to go through.

We were thinking of a couple of nights away somewhere (likely in UK) - I’d love some suggestions for special stays, with a budget of £500-600. Or if anyone has alternative ideas, they’d be much appreciated.

If they still have a mortgage, could you pay off some of that to ease their burden?

Where in the UK could they easily getaway to? My in-laws love a night away- BUT, they wouldn't travel too far from home! Some ideas- without knowing where you are?

I stayed at this hotel for a wedding in May one year. It has many acres of land which is an arboretum and despite being on the edge of London, felt a million miles away! I think they had a golf course too. Some rooms had a jacuzzi too. www.westlodgepark.co.uk/

Otherwise, somewhere local that has a murder mystery night ? If you provide the county you are in, we might have better ideas though.

Whereabouts in the UK are you thinking of ? We were treated to a weekend at PennyHill Park and it was absolutely amazing.
