It's quite likely that many of us will be stuck at home tomorrow, whether or not we want to be. Have you got nice tuck and beverages to sustain yourselves and pass the time? I'll be having my usual porridge at breakfast, Heinz Big Soup plus a sandwich or two at lunchtime and the leftover Christmas Day lasagne at dinner (it's been in the freezer). I have red wine, beer and brandy plus cheese, ciabatta, crumpets and butter. I am very fortunate.

Sod's law says the snow will completely miss West Yorkshire. I honestly don't mind if it does pass us by!

Homemade leek & potato soup with cheese muffins for lunch then a roast for dins. No snow here but torrential rain and no plans to leave my cosy house all day!!

Left over pigs in blankets in brioche rolls for breakfast, probably find a tin of soup for lunch and then for dinner I have some salmon steaks lurking in the fridge so I'll do those with herby pots and broc . No other veg except freezer mixed veg which I tend to throw in stews . No starving here either .

Our snow has been and gone - in colder weather I tend to make soups and slow cooker warming meals.

I sent DP to the shop yesterday so we had plenty of food before the snow hit (just the normal shop he would have done Monday, no panic-buying 20 loaves of bread 😂).

So we have bacon butties for breakfast, cheese for lunch and cottage pie for dinner. Plenty of wine. I’ll also make some soup for lunches this week.

I've had a ham cooking in Cola overnight although DDog seems to think I'm cooking it for her. She's going to be disappointed later.

Might make either Minestrone or BLTs for tea and badge done Croissants for breakfast. Just trying to convince myself to do some yoga before eating them.

Snowing quite briskly up here. Easterly wind too.

I feel it's a day for comfort food, so I'll be making a Fisherman's Pie.

I’m making some sort of marinated chicken skewers for dinner, with leftovers for DC’s lunches tomorrow. Something with mushrooms to go with it as I’ve got some that need using up.

I’m also making a big pot of minestrone and a focaccia. I ordered some plastic storage cups with lids on my Ocado order today, thought I’d start making six portions of soup for the fridge at the weekend. I’m sure that we’ll get through it in two/three days.

It will be porridge for breakfast as until I’ve made bread we don’t have any.

Ocado due at 9pm.

We’re in West Yorkshire, right on the Pennines, quite a bit of snow here.
Bacon sandwiches for lunch, roast beef, Yorkshire pudding this evening. Still have Christmas cake and Wensleydale to finish Xmas Grin
