What are you doing this weekend with the dc?

Gearing up to go back to work and school. DC had their normal clubs today, plus homework they've got to finish. Tomorrow will be buying football boots for DD as she's starting touch rugby in PE.

Big walk up a hill with the dog today

Tomorrow dinner with friends then go and see the 3 Wise Men parade as it's Kings Day on Monday, another holiday. They fling boiled sweets from their floats into the crowd, it's ace!

Sledging - a lot!

Today we took them to do the food shopping and buy MORE school shoes, which was a joy for everyone involved.

Tomorrow we're going to Winter Wonderland, which I can't bear but they'll enjoy.

Flying home tonight, land tomorrow morning as long as no snow delays!

Then lots of washing, unpacking a food shop and then having friends over for trampolining (current hyper-fixation among 5 year olds locally for the Winter - I'll sit inside with the parents and drink hot chocolate whilst we take it in turns to monitor the kids 😂)

Definitely was too optimistic planning the playdate and regretting it a little now!

Taking down the Christmas decorations. Tidying bedrooms and finding a home for all the new stuff they got for Christmas. Getting back into the normal getting up and going to bed routine ready for Sunday night. Getting school uniform and school bags ready for Monday. If we can get everything done by tomorrow lunchtime we'll have a family movie afternoon and polish off the leftover Christmas chocolate/snacks. Weather forecast is freezing cold and potential snow for tomorrow so not going out anywhere.

Today:
Ice skating with friends, we were 7 adults and 9 teens

Tomorrow:
She needs to sort out her room, work on her history essay and we will take down the Christmas decorations together (and eat all the tree chocolate).

I plan to let her cook dinner.

Where did you go?

Today was roller-disco at the local leisure centre. If we get the snow that's forecast we'll go sledging tomorrow, if not possibly swimming. Mine have an inset day on Monday, so can put of the back to school stuff for another day.

I have no idea for tomorrow. I also need some inspiration…weather looks mild but rain and wind most of the day and with two under 5 staying at home all day does test my patience! I hate going to soft plays etc at the weekend when they’re so busy so won’t be doing that but need to think of a plan…

@Sweetappley We've been in the US. Bit of a different Christmas for us this year! Fab time but excited to be home and back to 'normal'. This thread has reminded me I've left all the Christmas decs up as well - that's now firmly at the top of the to do list when we get home 🫠

Today was a long walk before the snow arrives, kids sleepover with friends. Cinema for Moana 2.

Sunday is a home day, except for my ice swim first thing. Then sorting and putting away Christmas decorations, finding school bags and sports kits, checking homework ready for next week. DH doing a roast dinner.

Today was swimming and house jobs ready for hopefully sledging tomorrow. I'm expecting a snow day on Monday

Birthday party this morning then the theatre.

Tomorrow is a park meet up with one of her friends then grandparents coming in the afternoon.
