Favourite (modern film)

I'm feeling a bit down in the dumps and just wanted to ask about what films people like.

I think my overall favourite film is either the Martian or Oppenheimer. I think Oppenheimer now.

I haven't watched a new film in ages. I think the last one I watched was Moonlight which was superb.

I think films for me are mood dependent, like books really. I’ll always veer towards cheesy romcom when in need of a favourite film fix. How modern is modern? I’m old (eighties child) so consider stuff post 2000s modern 🤣 I will say I love music and lyrics. It’s not for everyone. It’s just cheesy fun. I love a proper musical too. Or a period drama. X

I watched Deadpool and Wolverine a few weeks ago and enjoyed that.

Paddington in Peru was v. entertaining. DD (17) was particularly pleased with the High Grant cameo.

Didn't know there was a new Paddington until I saw your comment and googled. I'll give it a watch.
