Years ago I was given this recipe photocopied from a book. Does anyone know what book it is from?

I may still have this book. I can’t think of the name, but it looks familiar. I did clear out the baking cupboard in the summer though. I’ll check for you.

Looks like one aimed at kids?

I could just eat a chocolate crispy cake!

Might it be an Annabel Karmel one? The style looks familiar and we used to have some AK ones when DD was younger.

Usborne Children's book of baking I think?

DrMadelineMaxwell · 02/01/2025 13:07

I was going to say an usborne book too.

Sunshineandrainbow · 02/01/2025 13:10

Usborne start to cook maybe?

whoput50penceintheeejit · 02/01/2025 13:46

Thank you I’ve looked at the Usborne books and can’t find it maybe it’s in an older book

This children's book of baking?

It's most certainly usborne, the swirly font is so similar

Itsmyluckyegg · 02/01/2025 14:28

Had a look, I can’t find it though. I have shown the pic to DD and she remembers us having it too, but couldn’t pin it down a specific book as we had a few. She thinks it came as a baking set, we still have bowl too, but I am sure we made a baking hamper and it was all put together.

If it helps, I don’t recall us buying any Usborne ones (but that doesn’t mean we definitely didn’t) we did have Anabel Karmel ones, but I think it could have been from the Works, possibly b and m? It would have been around 10 years ago though.

Thank you all for the suggestions I’ve been on a search and can’t find any matches.

Definitely a children's book. Probably from the nineties.
