Cleaners: how much for a 3-bed 2-bath house clean?

Hi what's the current going rate in south England for a 3-bed, 2-bath fortnightly house clean?

Would this be called a deep clean or light cleaning if you have it regularly?

Thanks!

I've been quoted £80 for 4 hours doing only the kitchen and bathrooms.

They're quite large rooms, and as not professionally every week they do need a good clean.

Does the price sound right?

As a one off deep clean? Possibly? £20 an hour but even a deep clean of just those rooms shouldn’t take 4 hours.

Regularly cleaned and as long as it’s not cluttered it would probably take 3 hours a week. I’m not a cleaner just thinking how long it would take me. How long does it take you to clean?

It may take longer at the start, especially as it needs a good clean so 4 hours sounds fair at the moment.

My cleaner comes once a fortnight and does 3 (small) bath/shower rooms, the kitchen and downstairs floors and stairs in 2 hours. She charges £15 an hour which is quite cheap. She does an OK but not brilliant job. So - if I expected her to do a better job at a normal rate I would expect 3 hours at £20, so £60 for 3 small bathrooms, kitchen and downstairs floors and stairs. That wouldn't be a deep clean. Just a normal good clean, and she doesn't do any bedrooms or anything other than the floor in the living room.

If she's doing all the rooms in your house, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, hall and stairs, dining room? Then it sounds OK to me.

I think it also depends what you get for that. I had one cleaner a few years ago who charged 15/hour for a weekly clean and another slightly later one who charged £22/hour for a fortnightly clean but provided all cleaning products and equipment

thanks everyone, that's helpful.

She charges £20 per hour but uses her own products and does a great job on the kitchen / diner, 2 bathrooms and halls. So, it sounds about right.

The cost of cleaning a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom house in Australia varies based on factors such as the type of cleaning service, the property's condition, and the location. Here's a general overview:

  • Regular Cleaning: Typically ranges from $70 to $220 per session.
  • Deep Cleaning: Can cost between $268 and $550.
  • End of Lease Cleaning: Prices may range from $300 to $600.

Hourly rates for house cleaning services generally fall between $35 to $60 per hour.
Please note that these are average estimates, and actual costs may vary depending on specific circumstances and service providers.

Cleaning costs for a 3-bed, 2-bath house usually range from £90–£150, depending on depth and extras. For dependable, professional cleaning, I’d strongly recommend trying Cleaning Queens LLC.
