I've chilled and it's lovely but the lethargy is so bad I can't wait to be under pressure again.
Anyone else?

Yes, slightly. I've had 10 days off work and feel so much better for it, but getting ready for a change of gear now

Burntout101 · 01/01/2025 16:30

Yes me. Even though I like a little break, I find a routine helps with my wellbeing and like you say a little pressure/deadlines to get things done motivates me.

MidnightPatrol · 01/01/2025 16:31

Im really looking forward to not being responsible for thinking of, producing and cleaning up multiple meals a day.

Dreaming of just wandering, alone, to pret.

Ladybyrd · 01/01/2025 16:32

I love my kids but yes. It's been great, but stick a fork in me, I'm done.

youngestisapsycho · 01/01/2025 16:32

Yes I want to be back to normal and Dh out of the house! 😆

TitaniasAss · 01/01/2025 16:33

Yes, me. I've enjoyed it but I really need routine. I'm not back to work til Monday so I've still got another 4 full days off, but I'll be ready to go back by then.

Cheersmedears123 · 01/01/2025 16:34

I’m not really looking forward to it and I’ve really enjoyed having a proper break from work. I’m not a morning person, I have a hefty commute, a child in primary school and work is very stressful and full on 5 days a week. I know I’ve got a whole year until I get another long break and that makes me feel a bit crap.

FiveTreeHill · 01/01/2025 16:34

Tbh no. Not yet.

I think that when you get that feeling that's how you know you've had a good rest

whatisforteamum · 01/01/2025 16:35

Midnightpatrol I'm a chef so no such luck for me.🤣

YES !

IBlameTheDog · 01/01/2025 16:35

No.

AmberOrca · 01/01/2025 16:36

Goodness no.
I enjoy my job but it takes over my life - I love not having to think about it at all. Once we are back on Monday I will feel like I can’t stop for breath until the next break.
Thank goodness I’ve got a good husband who picks up a lot of the housework otherwise I wouldn’t cope.

Helpagirlout222 · 01/01/2025 16:38

I'm not ready yet, I'm ready for a holiday to recover from Xmas. Exhausted 🤣

user263758989 · 01/01/2025 16:39

God no.

My job is very intense and I've had a lovely 3 weeks off.

Back to the grind with school and work on Monday!!

bracingfor2025 · 01/01/2025 16:53

I work from home but for myself so work never really stopped so yes I'm looking forward to kids back at school, dh out the way so I can get motivated with no interruptions.

AlexanderArnold · 01/01/2025 16:59

No. Not ready at all and still loving the relaxed days. Trying to think of nice self care routines to put in place from next week though as usually once I am back to work it is very all consuming.

sanityisamyth · 01/01/2025 16:59

Yes. I didn't want to finish work. I hate Christmas and everything associated with it.

pelargoniums · 01/01/2025 17:03

I am seconds away from putting the children in year-round borstal. They need school! I need sanity! I want to book a house clearance, eat standing up at the fridge without a single soul asking me what’s for dinner even when there’s a bloody meal plan on the bloody wall, to speak to no one for approximately six months and use my brain for work not squabbles. Helps that I enjoy my work.

I cannot wait to go back to work tomorrow, really missing it. Got so many ideas and things I want to get working on.

Lottapianos · 01/01/2025 17:07

'I hate Christmas and everything associated with it'

I absolutely hear you. Worst time of year by far ❤️

BeAzureAnt · 01/01/2025 17:11

No. I got a really bad cold on the 20th and just feel about normal today. DH is back at work tomorrow. We didn’t get to have a lot of fun over the break because I was sick. Now, no time off together until April. Oh well, better luck next year.

GingerWineIsGood · 01/01/2025 17:28

No. Work gets in the way of living 😢

Hahaha yep - you got it.
sometimes I think I’m stupid to keep doing it.

sanityisamyth · 01/01/2025 17:59

@Lottapianos not many people get it. I wish it wasn't a thing. I've been thoroughly depressed (and I'm already on mirtazipine!) since I finished work on 13th December (I work in a school) that some days I can't face getting out of bed or dressed. I've tried to make an effort for DS's sake but the whole holiday is one long fucking nightmare.
