DH has cought the flu.... happy new year

We've had to cancel our NY plans as DH has taken a bad flu- I've genuinely never seen him this bad in the 24 yr we've been together I feel so sorry for him.

Anyone else had the most awful flu this Christmas?

Yep ! Ended up with pneumonia and in hospital. Something odd about the flu this year !

Aww, that's a shame OP, a disappointment, but more so that it sounds like a bad dose of influenza.
We've managed to get to, through, and past the Xmas days without getting sick, however we hear that the dreaded Norovirus is rampant everywhere.
I feel that I would rather have the 'flu than that awful Norovirus, even thought it's usually gone within 3 days, times I've had it I've felt off for a week or two.
Hope you DH feels better each day OP, lots of rest, stay warm, lots ( and lots) of fluids, light nutritious meals, no going out, just rest if he's able.
