I've just done a similar thread one for money and thought it would be good to have one for organisation.

Mine is the robot vac!

Throw stuff out so you don’t have to organise it. Use the dog shit test - if this was covered in dog shit would you wash it or throw it out?

Cordless hoover, organising drawers and wardrobes. I’m still struggling with meal planning/ batch cooking I never know what I want.

Meal planning - you don’t have to assign a day to each dinner. Just plan for 7 dinners/lunches, shop for them all and pick what you fancy each day. Eventually you can do this a whole month at a time. Batch cook one or two meals each weekend and date them so they can be used for the coming month.

Do laundry every day if needed and put it away every day! No exceptions.

I bought a basket the exact size of my washing machine and when it's full it goes in, most days. Then the basket of dry washing from the tumble drier goes to the bottom of the stays. It's taken up at bedtime and PUT AWAY. We never ever leave it til the next day anymore.

This has really changed things for me, it can be annoying having to put a basket away when you're tired but soooo much less annoying than having to put a mountain away.

Declutter so there is less to be dealing with.

Load of washing every day.

Get children to help with some jobs. Age appropriate, obviously, but even tiny children can pick up toys and put them in the box at the end of the day. Teenagers can do quite a range of jobs. Good preparation for life.

Don't keep clutter in our house we have a saying, if it's not a hell yeah to keeping something it's a no. Applies to everything, clothes etc.

Can I ask which one you have? I’m after one in the sales! I think it might change my life!

If you don't need it or love it get rid of it.
Don't keep those clothes that don't fit you now... By the time you get back into them they will be out of fashion.
If you can afford to replace things that don't work properly, do it and get rid of the old ones.
