I'm baby sitting but baby GS is not sleeping. He's crawling up and down my bed . Talking to himself. Every now and then he coughs and gags and I think he's chucking up on my bed. Anyway I cant go to sleep until he's asleep ffs 😭

Why is he in your bed and not in a travel cot? Far too disruptive.

ThatSillyBee · 01/01/2025 03:09

Just comfort him as best you can. Don't worry babies make weird noises. I'm sure you're doing a great job.

I'm awake because dp is snoring in my bed and I want to commit murder! Thank god we don't live together!

He's not a baby , baby he's 2 in March. He's just baby compared to his brother 🤣. He does not want to be held/ cuddled he's quite content in acting like its the middle of the day. I'm not worried about anything . I'm just tired.

Ah bless him!

I know how you feel. I'm dog sitting for a dog that doesn't want to sleep in his crate (that he's apparently happy in normally) so I'm sat on the sofa and he's now snoring his furry little face off next to me.

Wake him up and say stfu . Or make him sleep on the sofa. He's making the noise he moves.

You think he’s “chucking up” on your bed? Surely you would know?!

I meant the sound makes me think he's chucking up on my bed. Not that he actually is.

You will never get this time again. Babysitting an infant who can't sleep, soon he'll be grown and you'll look back on this fondly.
It's one night of sleep deprivation and in your shoes I would get up, lights on and join in with his middle of the day attitude. Dance, play laugh and you will soon find him asleep.
Once he's asleep the other one will wake up and you'll experience that hangover feeling without alcohol that so many endure.
Tell yourself it's time to get up and you will stay awake. An alternative is to open the window and let him see the moon. A lot of infants seem to get tired once they see the moon but not through windows.

No thank you 🤣. I baby sit hell of alot. I have bought up 6 children. Well some are still small. Baby sit baby gs 3 times a week. Plus do school run every day . Also baby sat older gs 3 times a week before he started school. Plus still have him regular. I'm not really feeling the you won't get it back thing. Although I know what your saying . I'm just not feeling it 😫

@Shithole101

nice to 'see' you! Happy New Year!!

not that you're having a peaceful start to it!

I'll take the 'baby' in exchange for my unwell stomach! I'm 🤞🏼🤞🏼it will settle down by the morning, but not holding my breath. It's not alcohol related.

with your lot I doubt you'll get the opportunity to look back & miss having kids to look after!!

I hope you & the kids had a good Christmas!!

and 'baby' goes to sleep now!!
xx

I really like hearing people snoring from a distance but definitely not same room.
