DH friend runs a music venue. DH has been there many times in a professional capacity to do paid tech set up/sound etc. he's known to the staff and has a laugh with them.

I went along with DH tonight to say hi to the pal and happy new year on our way out for dinner.

One of the teen bar staff guys saw me with DH, I've not met him but DH knows him pretty well.

Bar lad says to DH that his wife (me) is "cool and pretty hot for an old person".

I'm 41 😭😂 feeling about 80. I'm old enough to be the little sods mum.

There may possibly be a time decades hence when he remembers saying things like this and winces. Meanwhile, I'd bask in the first part of the compliment!

Without being too rude he's at the age where he'd shag a hole in the ground so I wouldn't take the pretty hot bit too seriously! Nice to be seen as cool though 👍
