Alone on New Years Eve

Anyone else find NYE more lonely than Christmas? I feel like Christmas has many aspects that can be enjoyed in solitude but NYE all comes down to that one moment of sitting alone knowing everyone else is hugging friends, kissing their partners at that exact time.

Anyone care to settle in here later and ring in the new year together?

Happy new year to you! I know what you mean I'm not alone but I find NYE pressure intense. One thing that new year is great for is really focussing on yourself. So have some nice food, and drink. Watch something funny on the tv. Raise your glass to all the people you have known and be thankful for what they have given your life and raise a glass to yourself for being the unique person you are. Maybe make some plans for next year. Or just focus on reminding yourself that you are your own best friend and there is no better company.

I am going to be on my own once I've dropped my dc at a party where they'll stay overnight. I've been looking forward to it. Tv, crisps, maybe a Baileys, now I'm a bit fed up now the reminder of no one to kiss at midnight. Thanks for that.
However, I divorced this year so very very very happy to not have to kiss him.
