On my second round of toast with butter and marmite and feeling like I could eat at least an entire loaf!

Is it just me or is toast the best invention ever? Seriously considering going for my third round now.

In my corner shop they sell stupidly priced sourdough that I buy when I'm feeling flush. I have it with butter and strawberry jam and it's an act of will not to eat the whole loaf.

How about a toast banquet
Starter
Toast with marmite
Main
Toast with peanut butter
Desert
Toast with Nutella Grin

I'd pass on the nutella, I hate it, in fact I don't eat any sweet toppings on toast, but would happily have seconds of peanut butter.

Homemade sourdough toast. Peanut butter and marmite, topped with avocado and a poached egg - food of the gods.

I’ve had to stop buying sliced bread as I was eating toast butter and sea salt every morning and often same again for lunch til the whole loaf was gone - buy those pitta thin things now for sandwiches or wraps

I used to be obsessed with toast just before bed. Toast and real butter. I could eat 4 slices. But if you gave me toast at any other time of day I physically could not eat it. Not one bite. Strange

If you like to add salt to your buttered toast, get this butter from tescos it’s exceptionally salty
