I used to live very near him in Sussex, and he was very involved in the neighbourhood. He was absolutely lovely!

Seems like a misogynist to me. There are many of them on tv. Not a fan.

Lovely? I only saw one programme with him gathering ladies in bikinis in an empty swimming pool then turning a high powered hose on them, presumably freezing cold. This so upset me I had to leave my friends house - they all thought this was hilarious.
I thought he exhibited psychopathy, sadism, entitlement, cruelty, altnough how these ladies didn’t guess his intent seemed odd.
Why he wasn’t charged with assault let alone sacked was a mystery

He was onstage in Nottingham from 2.30.

I've seen him on tv being snarky and gratuitously bitchy to a woman but he seemed to get away with it. It changed my opinion of him, sadly.
But I also saw a TV cooking show of his and the recipes really worked. When he was younger he used to cook in his parents' restaurant and knew his stuff.
