A thread for people who’s Christmas guests have gone home

My dad arrived Christmas Eve, he’s just left and I’m very much looking forward to a long hot bath and some silence 🤣

He was due to go yesterday but then my in laws invited him to come with us to theirs so one extra night, I love him to bits but it was just honestly a day too long and I need some space!

Who else now finally has a house with only the people who live there in it??

Mine left on Friday (2 adult dc and partner of one), they were good fun and great company, but yes it’s nice to have some peace - and some space!

There’s a saying - houseguests are like fish as they go off after 3 days! Our spare room isn’t spare ( DH’s office & general dumping ground) so we can’t have anyone to stay except DD’s friends in her room.
