Anyone else having a day at home today?

Out of nowhere I'm just absolutely shattered, it didn't help that I was woken up at 6! Even though I get up at 6:30 that half hour makes a difference.

I ought to be doing stuff, I can hear all the cars and people out and about, probably going shopping or to lunch but I'm exhausted, anyone else?

I don't have the option of not doing anything unfortunately, I've got a to do list several pages long but I'm exhausted, both physically & mentally.

amoreoamicizia · 28/12/2024 11:20

Oh no, sorry to hear that @Boyandgirlmum9. I hope you can get your list done and then curl up on the sofa later x

I spent all day yesterday on the sofa so feel like nipping out today. I need a few essentials like shampoo and conditioner so that will get me out of the house.

Natsku · 28/12/2024 11:21

I have to go to the shop because we're running out of loo roll, which I forgot to buy when I went to the shop yesterday. And also forgot to buy the quark I need to make pastry so need to buy that. Was pretty tired when I got up but I'm drinking tea and the cold air will wake me up too.

PassAggJumper · 28/12/2024 11:24

Yep. Monday and Tuesday I was busy preparing for Christmas and tidying as we were away the previous weekend. Then Wednesday and Thursday were big full on days at home and with my family. Yesterday I was at work all day so today is just a quiet one in!

PopGoesBang · 28/12/2024 11:25

Mainly! We feel our social battery is on low. DH has been out with the dogs and popped to the shop. We both took DD2 out for a little ride on her new bike, which she loved and we hope burnt some energy!
Tweenager hasn't surfaced yet, but unless there is a friend wanting to meet I'm pretty sure she won't object to a day at home.

I should find the washing machine again and actually wash some clothes, otherwise venturing out could be a bit on the chilly side!

Exhausted here too OP. Mum to two 4 year olds, having a home day until going out tonight for my friends surprise 30th and considering a nap now with the kids 😴

IrritableVowel · 28/12/2024 11:28

We have barely left the house or sofa since Christmas Eve, so today we will do a few jobs we've ignored, but nothing hectic. We planned to have a lazy, slobby few days, and we have accomplished that!

amoreoamicizia · 28/12/2024 11:29

Napping is a good call 🥱
Just need to wash some clothes. I'm at the "bizarre outfit" stage of the laundry cycle.

9 weeks pregnant with twins and have an almost 2 year old 😅 . I'm exhausted but off out for a family lunch

VioletCharlotte · 28/12/2024 11:35

Yep, I'm shattered today. I worked up to Christmas Eve, Christmas Day with family, Boxing Day with friends and work yesterday. Im having a lazy morning, need to do a bit of cleaning and tidying as the mess is annoying me. Other than a short dog walk (elderly dog who can't walk far) I won't be leaving the house.

No! Dh wanted to go out. I have put my foot down though and said tmrw I'm not going anywhere.
I've also been back at work already and had this awful cold that's been around

Well if you've had the awful cold you'd better rest at least one day to get energised for New Year and so it doesn't drag on as a post-viral thing.

Yep! We've had a lot of busy days and more coming up so today we've done very little and it's been lovely :)
