What bargain have you managed to grab in the sales?

I've just bought a pair of Adidas trainers for £39 (from £70) to encourage me to get back into my fitness in the next few days and see it through, hopefully!

Nothing yet but am off to hit the sales tomorrow so hoping for some bargains ☺️

Good luck! What are you in the market for?

I've enjoyed the scrolling without the cold and queues!

This year there's nothing I'm actually looking for so think I will enjoy browsing without pressure 😂 both dd will spend majority in Claire's I'm sure!

Good luck with new year fitness!

WatermelonSugarLow · 27/12/2024 22:05

That reminds me... my dd wanted to spend her birthday money at Claire's back in Oct and I told her to wait for the sales..... maybe I should make her aware as it's a rip off full price! Thanks for the reminder ☺️

I've bought loads but nothing that's particularly a bargain, just things we needed that I knew would be cheaper after Christmas.

New electric toothbrushes for all of us from Boots, think it was 50% off.
Landsend towelling bath robe, I get a new one every year they're lovely quality. Reduced from £75 to £28
Lots of sportswear replacing my summer stuff, all 50% off.
Orders some cashmere jumpers from various sales, hoping one or two will fit nicely, they're so variable.

I got some smaller size stuff in the John Lewis sale as I've nearly lost 5 stone now and things are looking a little big. I WFH so don't need much clothing but I thought it might be nice to have something that's aspirational. Also found a shop on Amazon doing ex high street jeans for £14.99 so ordered a pair two sizes smaller for inspiration too,

I like the sound of the bath robe! That is a bargain!

Where did you get your sportswear from?
I've ordered a sports bra which was 50% off and got some running trousers for Christmas. Might have a browse for some tops.

Technically Christmas eve as that was when my Next slot was but a table and chairs - we've been without one since 2022 when the kitchen was renovated and I'm sick of eating off trays so very excited to have one back and a rocking chair (that I don't need but have aways wanted)

I've got a £50 John Lewis voucher that's been sat in my purse far too long as a leaving gift from my previous workplaces but haven't found anything I want to buy with it yet.

WatermelonSugarLow · 27/12/2024 22:35

Good on you for table and chairs. I find when you've waited for something, when you eventually do get it you appreciate it so much more!

That's the thing with JL. It's pretty pricey so even £50 doesn't stretch that far often.

King size 100% flax linen in natural colour duvet cover, from Garden Trading. For £76. (Was expecting to pay circa £200). Really hope I like the quality and exact colour tone in real life!

ParisGellerFTW · 27/12/2024 22:56

Not especially bargainous, but I've got some canvas trainers for summer, some Camper loafers, a dressing gown, summer trousers from Free People, some bits and bobs from the Hush sale and a cardi from the Outnet which wasn't a bargain, really, despite being reduced from silly money, but I really wanted it. Just seen it's gone out of stock so hope I get it OK.
