Vinted - how could the buyer make such a low offer?

Whenever I make offers it won’t let let offer less than 40% off the sale price.

How could someone make me an offer than was 60% less than what I had listed it for?

They can make any offer they like and you can choose whether to accept it. I do find very low offers cheeky, but that's the point of the way vinted and similar work.

I've had this.. Vinted has many CF it would appear. I just decline then block

Vinted doesn't let you offer 40% of the original sale price not 40% off the sale price.

What the OP means is quite literally how - Vinted only allow offers of up to 40% under the listed price. It's not a "how could they be so cheeky" question but a "how are they getting round the 40% rule" question!

By sending a message with the offer in, rather than using the offer button?

ItsSoStimulatingBeingYourHat · 27/12/2024 20:02

They seem to have removed that limit.
Also if you do accept an offer it drops your price to the offer price for everyone!

Is that a new feature? As I’ve accepted offers in the past, only for someone else to buy it at full price as the person who made the offer didn’t pay in time

I've just tried and the limit still seemed to be there on any random item I clicked on.

ItsSoStimulatingBeingYourHat · 27/12/2024 20:07

Yeah!
It’s very recent- I wasn’t sure if it was a blip but I’ve read about it happening to other people’s accounts so I’ve put mine in holiday mode for now!

Doitrightnow · 27/12/2024 20:13

I thought they'd removed the limit. I got a £1 offer on a £4 item last week. It had sold at full price to someone else before I saw the offer. Joker.
