Did you record/photo dc opening presents?

I missed it and feel a bit sad.

I've never done this! A nice family Christmas Day photo surrounded by the tree/gifts/food is a must here though.

No, absolutely not, I refuse to spend my life behind a camera recording happy moments instead of participating in them.

I take 1-2 pics early on and then put my phone away unless there is a particularly special present then I might record it to see their reactions played back.

No, only a few pictures of them playing with their toys once all set up.

I get a few, mostly of them opening a family gift or if it's something they're really excited about and waving about in delight. DD1 asks me to take photos so I can sent them to her best friends's mum and we get photos from them too.

Just a couple with their stockings but other than that focus on being present. Realistically I’m very unlikely to ever watch a video again. I will remember it though.

I have to say I just got completely caught up in the moment and watching and didn't even think! I did however sit everyone by some of their presents and wrapping paper afterwards to try and recreate the moment for a couple of photos 😂

I take a few photos and a couple of videos and then put my phone down unless there’s a photo worthy moment. I also take a video as they walk into the room.

Out of all the photos and videos I have from previous birthdays, Christmas, etc, the video of entering the room never has the reaction I expect and the photos aren’t that great. Only the posed ones as they hold up their gift are worth keeping.
