Ipad charging slowly and battery draining very fast

I got my son a second hand ipad from amozen which was supposed to be like new but the above is happening:(
I've done the usual to fix it. Update etc but it's not helping. I have sent amozen a message awaiting response.

Any ideas?

Did you buy it from Amazon itself or from a third party seller?

And t can happen with their reconditioned ones

Just ask to return it and repurchase another one from them. You sometimes need to accept that one may be a bit dodgy

They're all guaranteed for a year so it's very simple to return and repurchase one
