DP and DD3 fell asleep during Ice Age 2.

Both kids have just gone to bed, it has been a lovely day but I'm glad it's over

DS , DH, DGD, dog. It’s so unusual for us we usually feel obliged to have fun.

Over 2 couches, 3 dogs asleep, 3 adults awake and watching Elf for the first time.

Just the dog here, I'm waiting for Gavin & Stacey with DH, teen/preteen have retreated to their rooms where one is currently shouting into his Xbox, so I assume his friends have done similar...

I’ve been a kitchen fairy and provided ever meal since I got here on Monday, including todays meal and I’ve had enough. Not so much as a cup of tea made for me so I’ve left them to it. Bah fucking humbug.

Oh, that's awful. I hope they're going home soon! Dm seems to manage just fine when she is on her own, cooking, and pottering, or making food to take to her other relatives/friends. The minute she's at mine, incapable of even making a cup of tea, waited on hand and foot. She always does the whole "do you want a hand", knowing at that point there is nothing to give a hand with. 🙄

I’m at theirs and can’t leave till Friday (no bastard trains). I cannot WAIT to go home, even though I love them dearly. They’re just old and set in their ways. They think it amusing I’ve headed to bed. Indulgent, if you like. I’m good at hiding my resentment I guess.

A Labrador teenager who is twitching her paws, fast asleep and has been a little darling today. Bliss!
