A couple of days ago I was dropping off DC’s friend at home in a nearby village and parked my car in a permitted on-street spot while I walked them to their front door (took a couple of minutes). The parking spot is legit but seems to block a short-cut to a bit of pavement. Anyway, while I was away from the car, an old man walked in-between my car and the one it was parked next to, grumbling loudly. In retrospect, I suppose he was displeased that cars were parked in the spot, even though there was enough space between the parked cars to swing a car door fully open! It was dark and I went home, only to discover a massive long scratch along the side of my car. The bastard had keyed it! I contacted DC’s friend’s parents in case he was a local but they say they don’t recognise him. There’s nothing I can do is there? No proof and unable to trace him. How much will multiple panel repairs cost- hundreds? Are by of those colour matched DIY body paint repair sets off the internet worth it? So upset about this :(
